Naturally leavened Hazelnut Colomba

HANDMADE COLOMBA, NATURALLY LEAVENING WITH MOTHER YEAST

Sciara Hazelnut Colomba is an artisanal creation of our master pastry chefs. Inside it has a simple dough, without candied fruit or filling, which is soft and fragrant and is covered with White Chocolate and Hazelnut Grits.

Colomba is absolutely without preservatives or coloring agents. In the package you will also find a 190-gram jar of Sciara Hazelnut Cream.

Why is the Colomba not already filled with cream?
there are two reasons as to why we chose not to directly stuff the Sciara Hazelnut Colomba. First, a filling requires the addition of alcohol to the dough to prevent it from going bad. This is a common practice, but on an artisanal product we find that it erodes the sensory perfection that dough with sourdough gives us.

Then, with the jar of Hazelnut Cream, included in the package, you can spread the slices to your liking, so there will be no more stuffed slices than others… and especially no more lucky diners than others! It will be a taste party for everyone!

Chef’s Tip:
Warm the Hazelnut Colomba slightly before serving and you will be able to fully enjoy the fragrance and taste of our dough.

Colomba expiration date: 2 months from date of production.
Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened consume as soon as possible.

INGREDIENTS

Hazelnut Colomba:

Colomba (net weight 750 g): Wheat flour, BUTTER, fresh egg yolk, sugar, natural yeast, emulsifier: sorbitol, honey, invert sugar, salt, emulsifier: mono and diglycerides of fatty acids, skimmed MILK powder, berries of vanilla, flavourings.

Coating: white chocolate (sugar, cocoa BUTTER, MILK powder, MILK whey powder, emulsifier: SOY lecithin, vanilla extract), chopped HAZELNUT (5%).
Hazelnut Origin: Italy.

Hazelnut Cream:
Cream (net weight 190 g): White cream [sugar, oils (sunflower) and non-hydrogenated vegetable fats, skimmed MILK powder (10%), whey powder (MILK), emulsifier (sunflower lecithin), flavoring (vanillin)] , HAZELNUT (35%).
