Fried bombs are a beloved delicacy in Italian street food. These soft balls of leavened dough are fried to golden perfection and filled with a variety of flavors. Throughout Italy, the filling of fried bombs varies widely, each region adding its own touch. Here, we present a Sicilian version enriched with our most prized ingredient: pistachio. In this recipe, created by Veronica Mirabella of Veronica's Cook & More, we use mortadella, mozzarella, and a teaspoon of pistachio pesto. The creamy filling and the crispness of the pistachio flour coating create a delightful contrast, making these bombs perfect for a tasty appetizer or a fun evening with friends.
