The wait is finally over!
Bronte’s “Green Gold” is once again the undisputed star of our town with the 35th edition of the Pistachio Festival.
An unmissable event for all lovers of Sicilian flavor, tradition, and culture, taking place over two must-attend weekends: September 25–27 and October 2–4, 2026.
The streets of Bronte will be filled with scents, colors, art, and, of course, the finest varieties of our beloved pistachio.
Experiencing the festival means savoring the authenticity of the region. This year, Sciara will be right at the forefront, offering you a taste of the true flavor of Bronte.

This year's calendar is packed with events ranging from food and wine to entertainment, designed to engage people of all ages. Here are the highlights of the event:
• Friday, September 25: The official start of the festivities! At 6:00 p.m., the festival will open with the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, accompanied by musical performances and the opening of the art exhibitions.
• Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27: The booths will open at 10:00 a.m. The days will be enlivened by traveling shows, street performer acts, parades of Sicilian carts (on Sunday), and the “Pistachio Experience” for the most curious visitors.
• Every evening: Starting at 9:00 p.m., the squares will come alive with live music, DJ sets, cabaret, and theatrical performances.
• Friday, October 2: The day begins at 10:00 a.m. with the "Schools at the Pistachio Festival" event, followed in the afternoon and evening by dance performances, musical shows, and entertainment.
• Saturday, October 3: The tasting booths reopen at 10:00 a.m. The day will feature a variety of entertainment along the streets of downtown, evening concerts, and comedy shows.
• Sunday, October 4 — The Grand Finale: In addition to the morning opening of the booths at 10:00 a.m., the highlight of the entire event will take place at 6:00 p.m. in Piazza C. Castiglione with the grand “Pistachio Cake Tasting, ” a historic and unmissable event to bid farewell to the 2026 edition. The evening will conclude with the final musical performances starting at 8:00 p.m.
Throughout the festival (September 25–27 and October 2–4), the area dedicated to the Consortium for the Protection of Bronte Green Pistachio PDO—of which Sciara is a member—will host continuous cooking demonstrations. Local chefs, master gelato makers, and culinary experts will take turns revealing the culinary secrets of the Bronte Green Pistachio PDO, with live demonstrations ranging from savory first courses to desserts and gourmet gelato.
