Pistachio cake

Ingredients

  • Eggs 6
  • Sugar 250 g
  • Chopped Pistachios 300 g
  • Flour 100 g
  • Melted butter 150 g
  • Yeast 1 sachet
  • Pistachio Cream 190 g
  • Pistachio Grits 100 g

Procedure

  1. Have the oven preheated to 150° and maintain the temperature for the baking time.
  2. Whisk together the eggs and sugar.
  3. Add the chopped Pistachios, melted and cold butter, flour and baking powder.
  4. Pour the dough into a buttered and flour-dusted baking dish, bake immediately in a hot oven for about 45 minutes.
  5. When cooked, leave the cake in the oven off for 5 more minutes.
  6. As it cools, spread the Pistachio cream on the surface of the cake (if you like, stuff the inside as well) and garnish with Pistachio granules.
